#12 Shave Day!

Shave Day was everything I imagined — and somehow, so much more. With my beautiful Shave Angels, Stacey and Bella from Heads, by my side, and my incredible family surrounding me, the day became a celebration of love, courage, and connection. These people, my family are my world, and this journey would look very different without their unwavering encouragement, humour, and support.
Everyone played their part, from the hands that shaved and styled, to those who kept the energy high with charcuterie platters and cake, running errands, or simply showing up to hold my hand emotionally and mentally. It was a morning filled with laughter, emotion, and togetherness.
When I walked out those doors, my head was bare — free of hair — but my heart was overflowing. Truly, “my cup runneth over”.
I didn’t share Shave Day publicly when it happened on June 22nd, it felt too
tender, too personal for the wide old world.
But today, I’m ready.
The powerful part of this day was that what was left of my hair went WHEN I decided and HOW I decided. That I can control. Also and really importantly, maybe someone out there needs this reminder that vulnerability can be powerful, that love 100% makes the hardest days softer, and that courage often looks like showing up, even when you may feel you’re not quite ready.
